The Differences In Tens Therapy and Interferential Therapy

Infrex Interferential Tens Machine

Carryover Pain Relief

A major difference in using a tens machine versus an Infrex interferential machine is what is referred to as “residual” or “carryover pain relief”.

Simply stated it’s if you turn off a tens machine the pain returns, however after a 15 – 45 minute interferential treatment the pain does not come back.   The carryover pain relief time period usually extends over time and most Infrex patients end up only needing to take a treatment weekly, or monthly.   For more information watch this video on carryover pain relief……

Do Muscle Stimulators Produce ” 6 Pack Abs”?

Muscle Stimulation

Unfortunately there is a big misconception between what a muscle stimulator is and what is a functional electrical stimulator.   Generally speaking many people seek out a muscle stimulator for the purpose of building muscle tissues for appearance or high performance athletically.   Machines that do that are generally referred to as “Russian stimulators” or a functional restoration machine with high frequency stimulation mode available.   The Infrex FRM is such a machine.

Most people who have suffered a stroke, a broken bone, or muscle atrophy really need a “functional electrical stimulator”.   These machines help restore muscle bulk and function so the patient can relearn or regain control of muscles to achieve functions.   Tens machines are not muscle stimulators as many manufacturers like to claim.

We’ve made a video here that explains the differences in the types of machines.  Watch it here…..

Free Trial To Stop Your Pain – New Infrex Interferential Therapy For Home Use

Interferential therapy ( high frequency stimulation) has been around since 1953 and is the most used form of electrotherapy for pain in clinics and hospitals in the world.  The clinical use allows a patient immediate relief during the treatment, and provides prolonged or carryover pain relief.   The results are not compiled by studies but by actual patients deciding if the therapy helps or not.   The proof is in the pudding so to speak.

Now patients can get free trials of the Infrex Plus Interferential High Frequency machine.  In the U.S. a prescription is required but not so in other countries.  Unlike other forms of therapy, or medications, the Infrex provides pain relief for you by letting you prove to yourself.   There are no side effects similar to drugs, surgery or other interventions.
